In the near future, the situation isn't so far from becoming a water world.  Sea level has risen, drowning
what were once the major cities of the world.  Humanity is now at war with the Zorndyke and his race of
water dwelling creatures with powerful war machines.  The humans are fighting back with high tech
submarines and aquatic assault craft.  At the forefront of the fleet are Blue Submarine No. 6 and her
crew.
Destruction, terror, artillery, and explosions: Blue Submarine No. 6 is all about fighting to save the
world from the new aquatic civilization.  In the trailer I chose to go with the action approach.  I
personally believe people react more to action over drama.  Throughout the trailer you can see the
fights on land and sea, which are crucial to the story.  The footage is cut together along with the
music, is to get the viewer’s blood pumping: fast, flashy, and sporadic.  In the beginning the cuts are
longer to let the viewer see the city in absolute peril.  As the song picks up the cuts become faster and
more rhythmic, until the last section when parts of the footage collide.  A fiery explosion leads into the
logo and title of Blue Submarine No. 6.  My accomplishment would be to have the consumers want to
watch the trailer again, and have them say,”Wow, I have to see that again!”
