Feuer What?
What is Feuersonne?

"foi-er zone-uh"

In German, the word means "fire sun".  It can mean "sun fire" as well depending upon
interpretation.  To me Feuersonne sounds better than Sonnefeuer.

Why Feuersonne?

Honestly, I just took two of my favorite song titles from my favorite band Rammstein (Sonne
and Feuer Frei)
, and meshed them together.  The songs are both from the album Mutter.
The idea came to me back in my sophomore year of high school.  I was trying to come up
with a name for at the time a Melodramatic.com account.  Then the name stuck with me
through many other accounts, and people came to know me by it.

What does the name mean to you?

Since I can remember, I have been told by many that I have brought the sunshine into their
lives in some way, shape, or form.  I'm not trying to make myself seem like a goddess or
anything.  My mother has always said when I smile I could light up a whole room, and I
almost always have a smile on my face,  I'm attracted to warm colors(especially orange),
and my favorite flower is the sunflower.  They represent the sun and all it's glory, and
because I was born in the state of Kansas.  In case some people didn't know the state
flower of Kansas is the sunflower.

Feuersonne also has to do with my heritage.  My father is a German American.  He grew up
in a German populated area in the suburbs of Chicago, and his family kept marrying
Germans I guess.  I eat bratwurst more than once a month, and I enjoy a good heifeweizen.

Are there other names you go by?

Well besides me first name Lauren, there are a couple.  To some really close friends I am
known as Hige, which is Japanese for whiskers.  No, I don't have a beard.  It has to do with
a character from a show called
Wolf's Rain.  Another friend gave me a nickname for
Feuersonne.  It was Feu Sauce.  I have to admit I think it's clever.
